How Sporting Events Are Setting New Standards in Logistics
The Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour—an event of global renown—is returning to the Pomeranian region! On Sunday, 2 August, the 83rd edition of this prestigious race will officially begin, with Gdynia hosting the start of the opening stage. This year, the city is also celebrating a remarkable
milestone: the 100th anniversary of being granted city rights.
“The return of the Tour de Pologne during the centenary year of our city is an enormous source of pride for us. The presentation of the peloton aboard the legendary ORP Błyskawica will be an unprecedented event on a global scale. We are delighted that residents and cycling fans from across Poland will be able to celebrate this sporting spectacle together in such an exceptional setting,” emphasises Mariusz Bzdęga, Director for Culture and Resident Engagement.
At QCS Global, we follow projects of this scale with great interest. Securing a dynamic race route, coordinating the international transport of extensive technical infrastructure, and managing hundreds of accompanying vehicles represent a logistical challenge that demands absolute operational precision.
Modern logistics—whether in sport or business—is built on flexibility, flawless synchronisation and uncompromising reliability. Organising a peloton and its supporting infrastructure as they move from city to city within a matter of hours is an excellent metaphor for the complexity and efficiency of a global supply chain.
We are proud to see Gdynia, as it celebrates its 100th anniversary, becoming both the host and a partner of initiatives with such significant media and business reach. This is clear evidence that our region possesses the expertise and capabilities required to deliver the most demanding infrastructure projects and set new standards on the international stage.
